Bose Home 500 Speaker

The Bose Home Speaker 500: A Comprehensive Review
ProsCons
Powerful MicrophonesShort Power Cable
Elegant DesignCan’t Switch Between Different Tracks
Very Simple Setup
Responsive Controls

When it comes to Bose speakers for your home the Bose Home Speaker 500 is definitely one of people’s first pick. With a name like Bose Home Speaker, you shouldn’t be surprised by that fact.

Bose in home speakers has seriously nailed it in the department of design. They create Bose for home theater, headphones, and Bose in home speakers with a simple, yet elegant design. They’re stylish enough to grab your attention, but not obtrusive and can easily blend into your existing decor.

We really appreciate the finish and the products that were used to design the speakers. The small LCD screen that’s used to display the song playing and other information is a great touch and definitely elevates the speaker and the overall design. The screen is also a control center where you can do things like communicating with Amazon’s Alexa.

With the nice finishes used, we’re not surprised that this speaker isn’t waterproof, but it certainly looks fantastic.

We appreciate the fact that the touch controls are very responsive. That being said, one of the major flaws is the fact that you cannot switch between different tracks. We’re unsure why Bose in-home speaker didn’t include this feature as that’s something a lot of people would like to do. However, most people either set a playlist or control things through their phone so it’s not surprising that they didn’t think it was completely necessary.

The Bose in home speakers has an insane amount of microphones, 8 to be exact. This makes Alexa or Google Voice Assistant hear you from practically anywhere in your home. Of course, with any Bluetooth speaker with microphones, they can always hear you best close by with not a lot of background noise surrounding them. If you don’t want the voice control you can simply turn off the microphone button and it will no longer be activated. Want it back on? Press the same button and the microphone is activated once again.

Once you get the position down, you’ll notice that the speaker has a low bass border around meringue and overall a pretty punchy bass. The treble fills some gaps that are lacking from other sounds and we also noticed that there is a slight distortion level too at certain volumes. That being said, at 50% volume, you probably won’t hear any distortion levels at all, which is perfect for hosting a dinner party in the other room or listening to your favorite tunes around the house. When you hit 70%, that’s when you may hear some distortion.

Even with the sound levels being not absolutely perfect, we actually don’t mind it. It fills the room quite nicely and with the presence of the two custom speakers of both sides of the Bose in-home speaker, it makes the sound reflect off the walls and create almost like a cocoon of sound around you.

The Bose speaker TV is a little bit larger than other Bose speaker mini Bluetooth options on the market today. It’s a heavy speaker that is designed to be a Bose speaker TV and not to be transported around like a Bose speaker mini options. With that being said, it should be no surprised that the Bose Bass Module 700 speaker is a heavy set speaker just like the previous Bose Bass Module 500 speaker.

If you’re familiar with the Bose Bass Module 500 speaker, you would also know that this Bose speaker TV has to be plugged into the outlet to function as it is not wireless or portable. If you’re looking for a portable Bose speaker mini, this is not the speaker for you and we have a wide variety of other speaker options on our website that might be right for you and your needs.

In terms of tech characteristics, the Bose speaker has everything you need for a great performance. With a quite compact device, once this Bose speaker TV is installed into the TV, you can connect wirelessly to the sound bar either by WIFI or Bluetooth and have amazing sound anywhere in the room. If you prefer a wired connection, the speaker also has that option as well. Everything was designed that you wouldn’t have any issues connecting devices and synching everything up together.

In terms of connections, the Bose Module 700 speaker can be easily paired with devices such as the SoundTouch 300, the Sound bar 500 and 700, and the Lifestyle 600 and 650 as well as any Bose TV Speakers on the market as well.

The design of the Bose Bass Module 700 speaker is definitely something that we can appreciate. It features a nice finish that looks modern and refined and compliments the majority of people’s exisiting decor quite nicely. There is even a high-end glass top finish on the top of the speaker which definitely elevates the speaker compared to other comparable models on the market today. It makes it a bit more attractive and turns the speaker from a Bose speaker TV to an attractive piece of decor in seconds.

Bose is written in the front which looks sleek and is such a well-known company, adds a bit of prestige to the design as well. Although the speakers are rather heavy, the design is really compact so that it fits in with your existing space seamlessly. The power plugs are all positioned at the rear of the speaker so you don’t have to worry about any eyesore cords in your line of vision. Another great design aspect is the fact that the speaker is able to easily connect to the bar using the Bose music application which makes connecting to other devices very seamless and once again avoid any ugly cords in your line of vision.

When it comes to finding the right speaker for you and your home, there are a variety of different things you should take into consideration including the features and controls. The Bose Bass Module 700 speaker is designed to overall enhance the performance of your existing sound bars with it being compatible with most options on the market today. It also plays a good role in bringing your subwoofer to life by enhancing the bass and balance on the overall sound spectrum as well. We noticed a lot more vibration from the sound when playing audio.

As mentioned multiple times throughout this post, the connection capabilities of the Bose Bass Module 700 speaker is seamless and extremely stress-free. Everything is extremely easy to connect regardless if you’re using wired, Bluetooth and WIFI connections, regardless of what you choose, you will find the same stress-free connection process.

In terms of sound quality and Bose Bass Speaker 500, the sound is pretty top-notch and you should expect a pretty beautiful sound experience. So as you would expect, when it comes to the Bose Bass Module 700 speaker it is that and better. Bose has years of experience designing Bose for the home theater where you know you want the sound to be nice and crisp and sharp, and they’ve transferred that technology to their Bose in home speakers.

Depending on the location of the Bose Bass Speaker, the sound may sound a little different. We recommend it facing out and not necessarily towards furniture or the wall as we mentioned up above. When you have the speaker near the corner the sound will sound different than if it’s in the center of the room.

The speaker by itself produces pretty good sound but when you combine it with the soundbar, the quality of the sound goes above and beyond. If you’re a lover of bass and sound vibrations, we definitely recommend that you have a soundbar for your speaker setup.

When it comes to the Bose Bass Speaker 700, we’re pretty thrilled with the device. We’re not surprised with Bose leading the market in terms of Bose for home theater speakers and headphones and the quality and design of those.

When enjoying music in your home, the Bose in-home speaker is a great addition. It features a nice, slick design that is on-trend and will fit into just about any decor style. We love the addition of the glass top as we think that it gives an elevated appearance to the speaker and truly makes it look like a piece of furniture instead of just a typical tv speaker. With the connectivity to multiple devices, easy connectivity we may add, the high-quality sound, and of course the QuietPort technology, the Bose Bass Speaker 700 is definitely one the top options in terms of Bose speakers TV options on the market today.

SoundLink Bose Bluetooth Speaker

Lightweight DesignNot the Best Bluetooth Connection
Sound Diffusion
Heavy-Duty Design
16 Hours of Battery Power
Great Sound Quality

When it comes to the Soundlink Revolve, it is one of the more portable options when it comes to portable Bluetooth Bose Speakers. Not only is it a great portable Bluetooth Bose speaker, but there’s also a lot of other stuff to love about the portable speaker as well. The speaker offers an exceptional battery life, a lighter design, and really solid control over the sound power. It features the same format as the previous Revolve model but with some improvements that make operation a bit easier.

Bose has promised that this speaker offers a 360 degree sound distribution so that wherever you are in the room, you should be able to hear the audio just as clear, regardless of your position. This offers a lot of flexibility. Speaking of flexibility, the speaker works with Bluetooth of course but also has a mini-jack available as well. This allows you to have the flexibility to plug in a variety of different electronics, even a microphone. You can take phone calls on this speaker and also use Google Now as well.

The Bluetooth range of this portable Bluetooth Bose speaker is 30 ft which gives you quite a bit of space to move around without having your music streaming device right next to the speaker to work.
